Besides my practicum experiences, I have been a Subsitute Teacher for the past six years, and have tutored students in grades 1 - 4th grade in reading and math. I support the Orton-Gillingham philosophy where learning to read is a multisensory process that is systematic and cumulative.

I am a junior at Rollins College studying marine biology. I have many years of experience in the sciences with my main focus on biology/marine biology. I took AP Biology in high school and have spent the past three years furthering my education in marine biology. I am also proficient at Spanish. I took it for 6 years before college including AP Spanish, and was a Spanish tutor in high school. I am a very hands on learner so I like to get students actively involved in their learning. I've served as an adjunct instructor in physics University of Cincinnati for 5 years teaching undergraduate physics. This involves teaching basic math skills such as vector addition as well as physics concepts. I've also done one-on-one tutoring for high school calculus. Strong emphasis on problem solving as a route to learning in either math or physics, since that's where rubber meets road.
