A Little Bit About Me...

I earned my degrees in education from Ball State University. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement, M.A.E. degree, and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education with minors in the following: Learning Disabilities, Mildly Mentally Handicapped, Seriously Emotionally Handicapped. I have taught at the elementary level in both general education classes and special education classes and at the high school level in special education classes.
I enjoy teaching and find it very rewarding. I believe that all children can learn and it is the teacher's role to find the learning style of his or her students and to plan lessons and activities to meet their needs. Children want to be successful in school and with my patience and dedication I strive to help each student find success.

In science this mainly means lab. For tutoring I will use a variety of self-developed labs that use common everyday materials. I have taught students in junior high through adult college students. I am an experienced professor with degrees in biology and general science. I am proficient teaching using multiple strategies and methods. I enjoy teaching students with diverse backgrounds and multiple ability levels. I also have strong computer and interpersonal skills.
