The knowledge gained from completing an accounting degree from an accredited accounting program has possessed me with real world function and theoretical application of multiple accounting systems. I played reed instruments (clarinet and saxophones) professionally in New Orleans in the late 1970s before returning to graduate school to study chemical physics. I started tutoring part time in 2004 and have continued this throughout college. I worked as a math tutor for tulsa community college part time during the summer. I have earned over 190 hours of college credit, I have two degrees, and I am only 15 hours away from a chemical engineering degree. I am very adaptive to students learning style. I usually spend the first ten minutes of our first meeting figuring out what the student is struggling with and how to best meet their needs. I try to teach students more how to think analytical more so then just solving problems because it is more beneficial to the student. I enjoy teaching, conversely I also have enjoyed my experiences tutoring to date. Working one on one is what some children (and adults) require if only from time to time to "get through" something they are struggling with academically. Over time I have become more and more patient, and have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and believe that if a person wants to succeed then they are more than halfway to their destination.
