I tutored all subjects - especially in Math all through High School. I also tutored in college. I have strong skills in Math - all levels - but I especially enjoy algebra. I have two children and I basically taught my oldest son math, since he was a different kind of learner than the way they teach at school. He is a very kinesthetic type learner and needs to see, feel and touch to understand the concepts - so I used a lot of tools to help him. I can tutor math and science exceptionally well and other subjects for the younger levels. I enjoy teaching when there is a bit of a challenge getting the student to understand the concept. As I have mentioned, I can use different styles to help the student get the concept. I have a great deal of patience and believe that everyone can learn. My degree in Engineering has given me plenty of experience in math and science. I have also had graduate courses in Physics and Engineering. As a graduate student at UNT, I instructed several physics and astronomy labs and learned first hand what teaching can be like. I have since felt that teaching math and science is a career I want to pursue. I have always had a passion for learning, and helping others learn. In middle school, High School and College, other students came to me for help with assignments. Knowing what it is like to be a student, I try to see from the students point of view.
