I am currently a history teacher and have been teaching for 5 years. I received my BA in history from VCU in 2007. I went on to teach for one year before I entered into a graduate program at the University of Maryland, College Park. While in Maryland, I taught full-time and went to school full-time. I taught honors government and U.S. history. I now teach geography and world history. I also anticipate teaching AP U.S. history this school year.

Highly-skilled career nursing professional

I have been in the health care profession for almost 20 years. I began my nursing career as a nursing assistant, worked as a LPN for 6 years before I became a RN in 2004. I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2013 and am currently studying for a Masters of Nursing as an Educator. I work well as a one on one special education aide because my attention is soley on the activities and education of my students. I am a laid back worker, and extremely patient because I find that if I allow myself to get out of shape, then I am not an effective teacher and aide, and my students will see this. I strive to be a good role model to them all, even when I may be frustrated but I find constructive ways of venting such as listening to music during class quiet times and taking walks with my students during activity breaks and while they are in PE.
