I have taught and tutored since I was sixteen. I currently teach for USC, a few online universities, Syl. Learning Center, and am a Professional Writing Tutor. I teach all grades and university levels, but my specialties are AP Courses and university courses. I have taught everything from 4 yr olds phonics to College level writing and literature to basic maths and sciences to Calculus and Trig.
I try to me more personable than most instructors. Many students simply need another approach to a subject to understand the material. I actively find that perfect approach for an individual student.

The importance of education has always been clear to me. I was born into a middle class family without a lot of resources. It became obvious to me that if I desired to pursue higher education I would have to qualify for scholarships and grants. I earned a bachelor degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Radio and Television. I was able to do voice over work at area radio stations. I wanted to earn a graduate degree so I applied to and was accepted into a gradaute program. I chose to study Education and Theology. I completed my degree in 1996. I have taught on both the high school and collegeiate level.

As a recent college graduate, I was driven to study engineering and music to create a balanced lifestyle. I have earned a bachelor of science with a major in engineering science and a minor in music. The ability to counteract my math and science studies with the arts is beneficial for the body and mind. My off-campus work-study job during my college career included tutoring at an after school program for children in elementary school to middle school in the subjects of math, science, and english.

A Little Bit About Me...

My passion for education drives me to a place, where I desire to teach children the joy in reading. In the past I developed a program to teach reading and mathe through culinary arts. Through research I have been able to develop extensive grammatical skills. I believe that in order to bring about change, you have to become the change. Children are like a garden of flowers who need only to be natured and love. In that type of enviroment any child can learn.
