As I streamlined accounting processes for the businesses I worked for, I wrote procedures and trained personnel on every level across every department both in the U.S., Singapore and China. I tutored my children in math due to the inept teachers in the public school system---up through algebra one. I have worked one on one with students in reading, english, memorization, study habits and math up through 7th grade.
I really enjoy working one on one. When a student masters a skill, it is very rewarding. Every student learns differently and they have a tendency toward either kinetic, hearing or sight. I love working with both children and adults. I think that everyone has the ability to learn ,but teaching styles need to be geared toward the individual. My love of the French language led me to pursue my BA specializing in the language and culture in college. After college I immediately traveled to France on a very generous scholarship from Rotary Foundation. This permitted me to live and study at a very old and prestigious university in Poitiers, France.
