I specialize in understanding individual challenges and struggles and adapting my teaching and providing clarifying examples. My explanations are thorough and enhanced by my focus on listening to people.
I'm currently a student at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and I've covered many subjects in my 15 years of education. I've learned many of them well enough to teach them to my younger sister, who has ensured I review every subject two years after I complete it, rather than forget it forever. I am an avid learner and enjoy teaching and providing the same educational opportunities to others that were afforded to me. I have two Master degrees along with a Bachelor degree, with particular teaching emphases in History and English grammar and composition. I have experience teaching English, tutoring international students, and, I recently served as a weekly newspaper columnist for two years.

As an aerospace engineering student at Embry-Riddle, mathematics comes quite easily to me. I enjoy solving and creating mathematical problems. At Embry-Riddle I quickly became known as the "go to" guy for all math related questions. Within the first two weeks of the first semester I was leading a Calculus 2 study group and retained my position as such until the end of the semester. While the study group dwindled in size for Calculus 3 I did still lead the group.

I believe in meeting each child at his/her current skill level and building confidence and concepts from there. Each student has his/her own strengths and weaknesses, and learns at his/her own pace.
