I hate lecturing! I do! This is why my tutoring style is very interactive. I don't like talking AT a person, I prefer to have a conversation. My goal as a tutor is to make subjects interesting, and also to make sure they stick- so you can do well on exams. I also teach study skills in every session, so ideally you won't have to rely on me forever. I have a very diverse background and I have many years of experience teaching in different subjects. I was an English teacher for one year in Korea, teaching children at a public school. I have taught fine art at a private school in Salinas. I have also been teaching martial arts and self-defense for over 10 years. My junior year I studied abroad in France, I lived and breathed French. I lived with a host family, living as the French do. I even studied abroad in Morocco after that, further strengthening my French language skills. As a child I always had the desire to learn French and upon entering college is when I began fulfillment of that desire. I love the language and I enjoy teaching it to others.
