I would describe my teaching style as friendly. I try not to give off so much of teacher-student type atmosphere, because many children get discouraged and are not as comfortable and not as willing to learn.

Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. My duties included assisted the teacher and helping the students in a manner to help them learn at their pace. And I also have an 8 year old son who attends River Dell Elementary. I help him on a daily basis with his homework, which includes math, reading and writing. Making Learning Fun and Easy!

I have a bachelors degree in Economics with a concentration in mathematics. I have been tutoring all of my life. I've tutored children, college students, and adults. I've tutored mathematics, grammar, reading, writing, and the military entrance exam. I tutor all levels of mathematics up through Calculus. My teaching style is to move at the students pace - however slowly or quickly that may be. I don't mind being asked the same questions. In fact, I believe that there is no such thing as a bad question, and that a student should ask a question as many times as s/he feels it is necessary to do so.

Love watching children learn and grow!

I graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Elementary Education (K-6) as well as Reading Certification (K-12). I have taught younger relatives as well as helped people informally on online tutoring message boards with math and physics problems. I have also been paid to assist students in how to operate the basic commands of computational mathematical software for three years as well.
I would be glad to work with students of all ages, but I prefer to work with a student individually rather than work with students in a group.
