I am presently working as a substitute teacher. I am certified to teach mathematics in 7th to 12th grades. I have recently passed the Praxis II tests to teach science in 7th to 12th grades. I teach almost every day and I usually teach math or science classes. Previously I worked as an engineer. During this time I mentored and trained new engineers.
I became interested in teaching while I was working at Delphi Automotive. I trained my own staff while I was there. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always felt strongly drawn to education, particularly in the field of literacy. I grew up as a child who loved to read, and I love to pass that on to others. After receiving my degree in English Literature, I became a teacher's aide at a small Montessori school in Springfield, Ohio. I taught my students reading for concepts and spelling in a small group setting, never more than four at a time. Occasionally, I gave one on one sessions, and had book clubs twice weekly for the students. Although I moved on from teaching in the Montessori setting, I would like to pursue tutoring and working with students one on one.

I have worked in Accounting and Finance management roles in large corporations for over 20 years. I have supervised, directly or indirectly, groups as large as 90 individuals.
