A Little Bit About Me...

I am a self starter, and am good at trying to help someone to see what their potential can be. I am a life-long learner and believe education is what makes people successful in today's society. I own a lot of software programs from the Teach12 curricula. I learn such things as discreet math, the Joy of Science and Understanding the Brain to name a few. I read book such as "Character is Destiny" and "Eleanor Roosevelt" to learn about our rich history. Before deciding to return to graduate school in 2006, my relevant professional experience included teaching LSAT courses through Kaplan in the Washington, DC area during 2005. Previously, I had tutored high school students in languages and math with University Instructors from 2003-2004 in Williamsburg, VA. I also taught English classes to high school and middle school children in 2002. Additionally, I spent two summers (2001-2002) working as a preschool teaching assistant. My most recent teaching experience includes instructing ESL classes as a volunteer with Intercambio de Comunidades in Denver, CO between 2009-2010.

As a college graduate I was motivated to find a job and begin my career. I have decided that after three and a half years of hard work through school and a gratifying 3 years of labratory experience (including 6 months of post-graduate full time work) that I am not ready for a career in chemistry. I have decided to slow the pace down and enjoy life for a while. I have lived in Aspen since December and worked for the SkiCo for that time.
