I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. I have very strong math skills, especially in Algebra, which is what my daughter is learning now. I excelled in grammar, art, health, and science as well. I was a teacher at a private school for a year after college before I started a family and began home schooling. My highest math course was in differential equations, also I completed physics, chemistry, and electrical course material. I have had 9 years experience as either field engineer or construction superintnedent. Writing reports, conducting training and development seminars was a standard part of either job, whether the subject was construction means and methods, safety concerns or design changes. I enjoy working with students to help them understand biology and how they participate in a biological world. I believe that the most important concept in teaching is engagement with the student. I strive to engage students in biology by exploring how biological concepts relate to the students life.
