A Little Bit About Me...

Accounting and Finance often blend the theoretical and concrete. I strive to teach theories and concepts through fun activities and games in order to make learning fun and as stress free as possible. To fully grasp the numerical applications of accounting and finance the answer is deceptively simple: practice, practice, practice. Repetitive usage of math problems allows students multiple opportunities to increase their understanding of material. Every individual is capable of great learning but will do so in a way that is unique to them. As an undergraduate, I attended Purdue University and worked as a teaching assistant where I ran my own lab, instructing students for one of their core management courses. In my junior year, I was asked to apply to an invitation-only program for an an accelerated MBA program only for exceptional students. I am now entering my final year of this program and will graduate in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration. The graduate program is team focused and emphasizes working with and teaching diverse groups of people.
I am a strong believer in teaching through examples and letting students try to apply the knowledge I have taught them at various smaller stages, then apply it to the bigger picture. I love working with kids, and I think that with patience, understanding, and time, all students are capable of reaching their potential.
