I have several years experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, training and coaching children and adults from birth to age 85 in several various subjects and fields. I have my BS in Early Childhood Education as well as Special Education and have tremendous experience with children and adults with all types of disabilities, learning impairments and delays both physical and emotional in addition to academic. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a personal trainer, nutrition coach and recovery coach for girls and woman battling eating disorders. A Little Bit About Me...

I take a more hands on approach to teaching as I know that everyone learns in different ways. I believe in language acquisition as compared to simple memorization of words and grammar. I like to bring my own cultural knowledge into instruction as well. I believe anyone can learn Spanish. It is a very useful and relevant skill. I make and plan creative lessons and use methods that are heavily researched. I am understanding, adaptable, and patient. My main concern is that a student is understanding and is engaged with the material. That means if a topic needs to be taught in a different way or reviewed again that is perfectly OK. I follow a mainly constructivist framework in my teaching. This means that meaning is greater than anything else.
