My comments on tutoring Writing : Elementary

I believe every student has their own style of learing. I am very much a visual learner and utilize this style. Many students, though, are tactile learners and/or find their attention is kept using computers. I love discovering what type of learner each child is. I like to always be positive and instill in my students that they can accomplish anything we just have to work together and discover their "niche". My comments on tutoring Writing : In foreign countries, where I have worked as a teacher, many students have a different language, thus, a different writing system. My job is therefore twofold. First I must teach the students how to recognize written English and secondly, how to write in a totally new way. This is both difficult and rewarding for both the teacher and the student.

From 2002 through 2010 I served as an Adult leader for the BSA through which I taught subjects ranging from life skills (cooking, sewing, personal care, etc) to government (political structure, citizenship, etc.) to outdoor survival(fire making, edible plant recognition, swimming, etc.) Also, from 2004 through 2012, I served as a safety trainer and risk management trainer for two different employers. In January 2012, I decided to put my English Literature degree to use, so I began my studies to earn my TESOL certificate.
