Education is, after bread, the first need of a human being

My career in tutoring began when I was 14 years old. Young, I had to share my passion for learning with kids in my neighborhood. I believe since then that education, after bread, is the first need of a human being. I have been teaching Mathematics in the United States for the past 18 years. After graduating from Bridgewater State University in May 1995 with a Bachelor in Science, majoring in Math, I started teaching as a full time bilingual math teacher in Randolph High School, Randolph Massachusetts. My comments on tutoring Algebra III : Have taught Algebra iii at two community colleges and at ITT-Tech. Total teaching experience in the subject is 32 years

I am capable of both structured and informal teaching styles depending upon the situation. I find that when smaller increments of course instruction is followed up with the student demonstrating proficiency and comprehension the overall learning experience is maximized. Repetition is normally the best way to comprehend not only the material presented but it allows the student to assimilate the steps and formulas simulataneously.
I possess over 30 years of academic/industry training the areas of mathematics, networking, programming and engineering. I am an Elementary Education Major at the University of Florida and have helped many students succeed in all subject areas, with a strong focus on Elementary Education. Some subjects that I particularly tutor in include: math, science, english, social studies, and language arts. I also supply a student with supplemental material I feel will help them learn better and at their own, individual pace. For instance, I believe that some students may learn better through visual exercises, and them others may learn through auditory (hearing) exercises. Either way, I try to figure out what a students learning style is and work on that with a student.
