I believe that every student is different and not ever student learns the same. I like emphasis on visual education and demonstrations because they stick with you much longer than technical memorization of topics. Real life application is crucial to me as well, if you want to be pre med I like to tutor you with problems that are applicable to that field. I.e.) nursing drop rates for chem and math, half life's, unit conversations, logic skills and diagnostics, etc

I have designed and implemented training for visiting scientists at the USDA, organized and planned annual "Take Our Children to Work Day" events, taught a microbiology session to underserved youth at Alcorn State University, Alcorn Mississippi as part of the USDA's AgDiscovery program.
I have a BS degree in Animal Science, minor in Biology. I have 20 years laboratory service with the USDA- APHIS- National Veterinary Services Lab, during this time I became a certified Histotechnician, received a HACCP certified and attended ISU to continue my education in Microbiology.

Throughout college, I held myself to a high educational standard, and maintained a 3.92 GPA. I majored in music, minored in chemistry, and completed extensive coursework in the math and science areas. Since graduation, I have worked in the chemical field, and possess a firm knowledge of the field of math and science and excellent writing and reading comprehension skills. I earned a comprehensive biology, chemistry, science degree in secondary edu. I taught 7-12 grade life, earth, physics, ap chemistry, and biology in Alpena, Ar. for almost a year. I was the director of the EncorePlus non-profit breast cancer organization for 3+ years in Little Rock, Ar. I have experience in grant writing and reporting. I taught elderly women how to use the internet.
I try to show students the fun side of learning. In the science field there are so many exciting things to learn and do. I think if children are taught that learning is fun at an early age it makes them more apt to do well throughout their academic career. I have patience and the willingness to decide the correct approach for each individual student.
