A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Indiana-Purdue University with an A.S. Degree in Business Administration. I have worked as a case manager with a social services agency which involved teaching basic reading, math, and social skills. I have worked with people of varied ethnic backgrounds and socio-economic classes.
I attempt varied styles to find the appropriate style to use with a specific individual. I am "user friendly" and make the student feel comfortable and at ease. I combine verbal and graphic assistance to help the student gain a good basis for the information needing to be learned.

I have had nearly 2,000 hours of anatomy course work as well as I've taken biology, chemistery, and pharmacology at Indiana-Purdue University of Ft Wayne.

As a Bowling Green State University student who has studied Communication Disorders I have come across many experiences with children. Communication Disorders not only includes speech, but language as well. I have gained knowledge about how children read and write and why some children may have problems with this. During my last semester of college I observed 25 hours of speech and language therpay which involved watching both adults and children. This year I will be graduating with a 3.0 in my major. Once I have gained some experience I plan on attending graduate school to obtain my Master's Degree for speech-language pathology. I also feel confident in my abilities to help students with beginning Spanish.
