I have always been excited to help others succeed. I have a young daughter myself, so I am very interested in early childhood development. Since undergraduate work, I have worked in the business world, primarily in the manufacturing arena. My academic experiences have continued on some level. In times past I tutored high school math students in North Carolina. I am proficient is equations, inequalities, Cartesian Coordinate System, polynomials, factoring and functions. My style focuses on the processes in arriving at a solution. The learning goal in mathematics is to impart understanding of the process of working toward a solution, not attaining the solution. In mathematics as many other endeavors, it is how we proceed to a goal that is important, not the goal itself. I believe that Math is a subject of concepts and if the concepts are clear than any body can do math. Making concepts clear depends on the teacher who analyze the understading of each individual and teaches him accordingly. As a Math graduate, I wanted to remove hesitation and fear of students for this subject and I became a Math tutor. I have taught advance Math (Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus) at High Schools and also done tutoring for these subjects. I worked at Learning Center in Tupelo, MS for a year as a proctor for government issued tests and a mathematics tutor. I have not received my Elementary Education Bachelor's Degree yet, however, I am in the process of receiving it. I will graduate Dec. 2011. I have taken 21 hours in Mathematics so far at the college level, and love working with children. I have had to tutor from first grade to college level.
