I most enjoyed teaching young adults and adults as they prepared for tangible competencies and careers. By my encouraging this group of diverse students to help me assess their work through journal writing, they became partners. Native speakers of English, believing that their communication skills were up to par, identified weaknesses and worked at correcting them; for other students, the course served as remedial instruction or a wake-up call.

As a high school student, I was involved in inner city teaching and I helped hartford students in their studies after their school. I appreciate higher education and I truly understand what it takes to teach as I myself teach my own children with their homework from their own schools after they come home. In addition to tutoring college level students I have worked with elementary and middle school children in church youth groups, assisting with bible verse memorization and reading skills,as well as staging music productions. My experience also includes homeschooling my own children and assisting in classrooms.
My teaching style is relaxed, but focused. I believe all children can be natural learners, especially when they find something that interests them. Patience is the key with children.
