Throughout my career in business and education I have always loved and appreciated the opportunity to teach and to mentor. I have worked in several college and vocational school departments including teaching, financial aid counseling, registrar, student affairs, career placement, curriculum development, instructor assessments and evaluations, academic advising, and the college selection process. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is such a rewarding experience. It is an amazing feeling when you help a student learn something that they previously had been struggling with. My goal is to help the student by becoming interested in the material. If the student is interested in the material, they will have a better chance of learning it. I hope I can have the opportunity to make a difference in many students lives.
I have an Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Mathematics Education. I was a math tutor and math teaching assistant at Daemen College. I completed two student teaching placements in mathematics classrooms during my education. I also completed a volunteer experience at Seneca Babcock Preschool where I aided the teacher in helping the children learn colors and numbers. When I was a senior in high school, I taught Spanish to 2nd graders for a semester long project.

My teaching style is one that allows the students to ask any pertinent question about the subject at hand. By allowing the students to do this, it allows me to see what might be giving them a hard time with the learning. Thus, I would be able to ask pertinent questions, that will allow me to show different ways around the troublesome areas, while giving the students a new way to learn the necessary material.

I have been a teacher and tutor for over 15 years, specifically in private schools. The first student I tutored (as an elementary student) has graduated from dental school and has his own practice! My background in science and math, as well as human psychology, enables me not only to teach the curriculum, but also to understand those academic areas which are common roadblocks to many students.
