Learning's only effective if it's fun.

I have a goofy, hands-on style. I try to make it fun. I am very strict, however, when it comes to grammar, respect, and completing proposed tasks. Obviously I have different styles for adults and children. My lessons are always custom designed with the client in mind and age-appropriate. I have an arsenal of materials and activities which I constantly draw from. I aim for a balance between games of all sorts and drills/assessments. I have to be very flexible and creative while teaching, and I enjoy it very much.

I believe that students learn best when they are able to use a variety of I believe it is necessary to access prior learning in order to know where to begin the learning process. Then I believe it is necessary for students to participate in both guided practice as well as independent practice in order to assess whether or not they have a working knowledge of the material that is being taught. I also believe in using both formative assessment and summative assessment.
