Drawing is one of my top subjects!

I have many different teaching tactics depending on how someone prefers to learn. Some people are visual learners, and need the assistance of visual aids and presentations. Others like to learn about things by doing them. However someone enjoys learning, I believe is the best method.
I have helped out several of my friends and family members, with everything from studying to hands on projects. I am looking to expand this help to others, and I also believe it will be a rewarding experience for myself. I, myself, enjoy the learning experience a lot, and hope to help others also find a way to enjoy their learning experience.

I have recently graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelor of Science and teacher certification degree. I student taught during the fall '09 semester. Student teaching provided many opportunities to work on various teaching techniques. The student teaching semester consisted of; leading the class in discussion on a daily basis, creating worksheets, conducting lab experiments and other activities, grading homework and tests, and much more. A Little Bit About Me...

As a teacher, I expose students to a variety of artists and their techniques. My students are taught the fundamentals of art first, mastering one skill at a time. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is not easily defined as each student learns differently. To be an effective teacher I must adapt to the learning style of each student and address their needs accordingly. Although, I do not possess a definite teaching style I do have a specific set of guidelines or practices that I implement in the teaching/tutoring process.
