A Little Bit About Me...

Even before attaining my degree in English from Jacksonville State University I was passionate about all forms of teaching. I have over a year of experience tutoring college students at Jacksonville State University's Academic Center for Excellence and immediately following that nearly another year of experience tutoring dyslexic youths at the Dyslexia Clinic in Oxford, AL. I have experience tutoring biology, english, french, physcohology, and a variety of art and history classes.
Many children struggle with classroom learning because they require a different learning method than the one being offered or more direct attention than a teacher of 20+ students can offer. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style has to do primarily with desire; that is, if you want it and work hard, you can achieve your goals. One cannot teach or coach “heart” or discipline – that is all I require of my students -- the desire to learn, achieve, get better at what it is they are doing. I will work diligently to understand what is blocking that road to success, teach tips, tactics, and shortcuts to understanding theory, and support a love of the subject or sport already within you.
For years, my passion has been “to gladly learn and gladly teach.” Since graduating from law school, I coached Cumberland’s National Arbitration team to two consecutive top 20 placements, taught “Criminal Evidence” to Miles College undergrads, and now will being teaching “Research and Writing” at the Birmingham School of Law.
