Biology is one of my top subjects! BA in Biology- Health professions concentration

As the second oldest of six kids I have a lot of at-home experience in tutoring. With a BA in Biology I feel very equipped to teach children in sciences. I have taken Anatomy, Physiology, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics and every other major science. I intend on taking one year off before attending medical school. Even before attaining my degree in English from Jacksonville State University I was passionate about all forms of teaching. I have over a year of experience tutoring college students at Jacksonville State University's Academic Center for Excellence and immediately following that nearly another year of experience tutoring dyslexic youths at the Dyslexia Clinic in Oxford, AL. The best way to describe my teaching style is flexible. I don't limit myself to one style because I've never taught one type of child. Students are diverse and as a teacher my style of teaching must also be diverse. I believe in modeling and hands-on learning experiences. Students need to see new concepts worked through correctly. They should then show understanding of material through such processes as reteaching and through real world application whenever possible.
