I have specialize training in “The Gentle Teaching Method” pertaining to the developmentally challenged student. I have discovered that this method works with traditional learners as well. I am extremely patient and believe that all children possess individual learning skills and I am dedicated to discovering which technique to use to motivate your child to find their academic success.
As a non-traditional student, earning an Associates in Applied Science Degree majoring in Respiratory Therapy at Shawnee State University I excelled in both Science and English. I have written several essays, lab reports, and presentations and have been published in Guidepost Magazine. I have experience as a tutor and mentor from elementary (all subjects) to college level (science and English) students. I also have experience with developmentally challenged students.

I love children of all ages. I am very patient and laid back. I am kind, and considerate of others. My goal would be to help the child learn and understand, while making the experience a fun and rewarding one. I believe everyone has the ability to do whatever they strive for. I had a teacher in my youth that made such a huge impact in my life, and I have always wanted to repay that favor to other children. I strongly believe that one good teacher can make all the difference in a child's academic career.
I have always been driven to achieve a high level of excellence in everything I do. As a college student, I tutored many of my friends and peers for free. I have tutored several children since graduating college for free as well, and have always enjoyed helping others learn and understand new things.
