My training in rhetoric, speech, and debate has taught me the importance of speaking clearly and articulately. This means that I pay close attention to language and I try to bring out that quality in my students. Other methods that I use come from my time as a foreign language teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a science concentration and upon finishing my student teaching immediately took a full time job completing the remainder of the school year (March-June 2005) teaching middle school math. In September of 2005 I began teaching middle school science and math as well as elementary school science labs at Santa Barbara Christian School. I taught at SBCS for three years and then worked as a clinician for the Lindamood-Bell Learning Program for the summer of 2008.
