A Little Bit About Me...

I think Math is the most beautiful subject and the highest form of human expression. A lot of times people are turned away from it due to a high school math experience that they perceive as dry and boring. When I tell people I love math, I too often hear "well, better you than me!" I think part of the high school math experience should include turning students on to mathematical discovery. Confronting confusion and working through to develop an understanding that feels personal and thorough. I believe that everyone must learn in an individual way at their own pace and I am prepared to put in the necessary effort to give my students that opportunity. A Little Bit About Me...

I ask questions, I make math fun!! I draw pictures. The assinments are OUR assignments the students are not alone. Math was hard for me too I GET why they are stuck!!
I work with students of various backgrounds, aging from pre teen to retirement age, many with learning disabilities, many who are also ahead of their peers. I have a resource room and lesson plans for each group of students seperated by subject. I help them with Math, time management and note taking. I work closely with other administrative staff and allow students to discover their potential.

I enjoy learning and think of my education as a continual process. In my experiences, I have gained a wide range of skills encompassing leadership, peer training, and interpersonal communication. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a certified teacher in the area of middle school social studies. I am now also qualified for high school certification. I have been working as a long-term substitute in Burlington area schools in social studies for the last 5 years. I have also been working as a paraeducator in special education. I have worked in all subjects. I have a high interest in math, and successfully advanced to, and passed, Calculus two in college.
