Cornet is one of my top subjects! Over 20 years playing and performance experience. Over 10 years' teaching experience.
I have over 20 years' playing and performance experience. While I am no longer an active performer on trumpet, I have over 10 years' teaching experience. In addition to performing well in their school bands, my students have received "Excellent" ratings in Solo & Ensemble competitions and have performed with MTSBOA All-County and Mid-State Honor Bands.
I believe in tailoring each lesson to each student's individual abilities and learning methods. For students in school bands, I try to provide lessons that augment and complement what they learn in band class, focusing on areas of performance that may not receive attention in a group setting. For all my students, regardless of level or instrument, I help them learn music that they want to learn, while making sure they get the fundamental training that they need.
