A Little Bit About Me...

I have two Bachelor's degrees and a law degree. I am qualified to teach all areas of social sciences, and comfortable with most subjects through the high school level. I have had experience with tutoring through employment as a nanny. When the conventional has not worked!!!

Student-centered, Co-intentional. I believe that the key to learning is the motivation to want to learn. Once that has been accomplished, just stand back and guide the student to what they want next.
I have worked in schools in Kentucky and Ohio. I have been a tutor, intervention aide, long term substitute teacher, and regular classroom teacher. I communicate freely with my students, and am always ranked among the most well-liked and effective instructors by my students. My best skill is helping students find what is in it for them to learn and use the material. I currently teach (adjunct) at a career College where I teach English, history, strategies for success, and communications classes.

I believe every child can succeed in school. Every child has the ability to reach his/her highest potential, even those who are struggling. Sometimes it is just a matter of finding the technique that works best for that child. Not every child learns exactly the same way but every child can learn!
