A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching children has been part of my life for many years, on many levels. I am currently a full time substitute teacher for Ann Arbor Public Schools. My past experience includes teaching Pre-K, preschool, directing educational camp programming, as well as substitute teaching for various grade levels. My education and experience has made working with children enjoyable and meaningful.
I have a high regard for the brilliance of children. It is my experience that some children need assistance in recognizing their gifts. I have had a chance to see many intellects blossom and self esteems thrive. Using techniques learned from various levels of education classes teamed with experience, I am able to connect and allow learning to happen. I have worked in education at the community college level for several years. I worked as an English Tutor for four years at Washtenaw Community College before being asked to join the part-time teaching staff. My class load consisted mostly of Composition I and Technical Writing classes; occasionally I would substitute for Literature courses when needed. In addition to my educational experience, I also have corporate experience working as a Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist in companies such as: EDS, GM, and Consumer Energy.
