My comments on tutoring Algebra II : There is a large jump from Algebra I to Algebra II and I help students make that jump through making connections to things they have already learned. This is a difficult subject that requires time and energy for success.

I began homeschooling my children in 1993. My older son was in 8th grade, my younger son was in 4th grade, my oldest daughter was in Kindergarten, and my twin daughters were 2 years old. Hands on, real world examples are the most effective when learning mathematics. It is very important to understand the theory behind what is calculated, in order to understand what is being done. My teaching style is very casual.
