I earned my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. I was a substitute teacher for three years. My approach to teaching is more of a "why" approach. It is more important for students to know why something is or works rather than just how. This approach works well for middle and high school students. It allows students not only to understand the ideas taught but to apply them to other areas as well.
