I have a passion for learning, such that I earned my BS in Business Management in only three years of study at the Univeristy of Utah. Through my years of schooling, I have gain masterful skills in both English and Math, due to the many papers and courses I have taken in these fields of study. A Little Bit About Me...

I did my internship at Springville High School and Dixon Middle School. At Dixon I was selected to help teach adults about the computer. I have 9 children. I was able to teach each of them. Some of them have gone on to higher education and have scholarships. I still have some at home and enjoy teaching them.
I like the tutoring environment because I like seeing individual progress. It is easier to assess where the child is. I believe that the basics are essential to moving forward in education. Memorization of math facts makes it easier for a child to learn new material because he isn't bogged down. I don't believe enough emphasis is placed on arithmetic in today's schools. Basic arithmetic skills make story problems easier. Types of story problems need to be practiced, not just thrown in at the end of a chapter without much information on how to do it. A Little Bit About Me...

I grew up reading the nutritional panel on everything. I was absolutely fascinated how the body used the food that we eat to derive the energy and perform the tasks necessary for life. This interest in the human body led me to pursue a degree in nutrition. I recently graduated Brigham Young University the honored graduate of my college with a BS in Nutritional Science. Due to the nature of my degree, I have an extensive knowledge in the fields of biology, chemistry, anatomy/physiology, and nutrition. I am not, however, limited to these subjects.
