From past tutoring experiences, I have discovered that all people have the ability to learn, but each person learns in their own way. My tutoring method is a direct reflection of the way in which I was taught. I am a higher education professional who has come to believe that the best way to impact students is to return to teaching. I have a long-standing interest in the philosophy of teaching. I am particularly impressed by "deep learning," a movement that emphasizes critical thinking and inquiry at all levels of teaching. I also believe in high expectations combined with a strong support system, and a common sense approach to the subject matter.
