I truly and honestly enjoy working with children of all ages to help them achieve their highest potential. I am highly efficient at helping students with homework, understanding lessons, and prepping for examinations. When working with young children (grades k-6), I try and make learning as fun and relaxing as possible. Young children also need a lot of attention to ensure they remain focused on the task at hand. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a bachelor's degree in French, for that is the subject for which I have the most passion. During my time at the University of Southern Maine, I also took several classes each in Political Science, History, and Criminology. I have written many papers, both for research and writings' sake. I am currently an instructor for Initial Entry Training soldiers at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. I have instructed in this position for approximately seven months. Each individual is different. Therefore, you have to know the person first in order to apply a teaching style. Age, gender, and subject matter are some elements that influence how a person learns. Some people learn visually, some people learn by practicing, some people don't want to learn. My style varies according to the individual and what he or she likes or dislikes. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored through the organization Literacy Volunteers in Flagstaff and Lake Havasu. Additionally, I tutored English in a refugee camp in Zambia, when I was with the Peace Corps. While living in Bangladesh, I tutored adults and children in English, as well as other subjects. I taught for three years in Bangladesh at International Turkish Hope School.
My teaching style is to make sure that those I am helping understand what is being talked about. If they do not, we will keep working at it until clear. Since all teaching ways do not work for all students, I try to figure out what would work best for those I am currently tutoring, so that they will succeed.
