A Little Bit About Me...

I have 10 years teaching experience. I have been teaching Language Arts/Social Studies to middle school (6th - 8th) students. I have instructed students in reading comprehension, writing, speaking, listening and visual literacy. I prepared lessons, instruct and evaluate students, and maintained classroom discipline, kept attendance records, grade assignments and provide feedback to students or parents.
One of my greatest strengths as an educator is meeting each student’s unique needs by developing a personal understanding of each one of them. I achieve this by seeing and assessing the students as individuals, and tailoring lesson plans to accommodate multiple intelligences. My goal is to increase student motivation, awareness, and understanding of the language arts. I am very passionate about teaching and I hope to make an impact to my students.
