My comments on tutoring Special Education : I HAVE BEEN A SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS AND THIS HAPPENS TO BE MY THIRD YEAR TEACHING IN THE SAME FIELD.

Taught at two colleges in Mombasa, Kenya for 5 1/2 years. Memon college under the Memon board of Education and Jaffery institute of professional studies under the Khoja Itna Asheri Board of Education. Joined Tennessee state University where I pursued another Major in Special Education. I taught under Metro Nashville Public schools for for short while at Neely's Bend Middle school. Since 2011 I have been working as a full time teacher under Clarksville Montgomery county schools as a behavior support Program Teacher. I have been successful in preparing students in transition back to regular education. I continue to work with them on a regular basis, but it has been interesting working with them on a regular basis. I relocated to Tennessee and taught high school special education for seven years. After deciding that I enjoyed teaching younger children, I transferred to Cheatham Middle School, where I presently teach fifth grade inclusion. More About This Tutor...

As the daughter of educators, I have been exposed to the education system all my life. As a result of this exposure, I became very interested in tutoring and teaching. I taught for two years as a substitute teacher before attending law school. I previously worked as a substitute teacher with Morrow Elementary in North Lauderdale, Florida where I taught test-taking strategies for the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. Most recently, I have volunteered with Youth Encouragement services as a tutor.
Based on previous experience I have discovered that the same teaching style does not work for every child. I find that explaining each topic and asking the child question gives a clear indication of their understanding. Based on responses to the questions adjustments may be made to address each child's need.
