I have always possessed a love of helping others to learn. It brings me great joy to witness when an individual grasps a concept which they have been having difficulty with. I tend to use a demonstrator style of teaching by first working through a problem slowly while asking the student questions to ensure that they understand what I am doing. Then I help them work through similar problems while providing help until they fully grasp a concept.
I have earned both an AS in Science and Mathematics as well as completed all requirements for my BA in business administration with a concentration in accounting. I have volunteered at an elementary school tutoring while I was in high school. I have also tutored individuals in college level material on a private basis for compensation. A Little Bit About Me...

For the past 28 years, I have worked in Industry as an Electrical Engineer. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences with the goal of teaching college math, preferably at a Community College. I have experience teaching at the community college level and tutoring in High School Math. While working in industry, I taught many classes including statistics for Six Sigma certification and basic power distribution concepts and calculations. Also, I am a licensed Professional Engineer in Tennessee and South Carolina.
