A Little Bit About Me...

I would describe my teaching style as friendly. I try not to give off so much of teacher-student type atmosphere, because many children get discouraged and are not as comfortable and not as willing to learn.

Making Learning Fun and Easy!

My teaching style is to move at the students pace - however slowly or quickly that may be. I don't mind being asked the same questions. In fact, I believe that there is no such thing as a bad question, and that a student should ask a question as many times as s/he feels it is necessary to do so.

Most students at any level are very unmotivated to learn if someone is lecturing at them or working at a pace that is above what they are able to accomplish. I graduated from Heidelberg College in 2004 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Reading concentration. From there I worked as a substitute teacher until getting my own classroom in 2006 I taught 3rd grade from January 2006 until June 2008. I left that position to pursue other career options.
