I have taught private music lessons since 2006. My primary instrument is piano. I have tutored English, Math and Science for the last 3 years. My students have achieved fantastic results. Although I do not teach to tests or scores of any kind, but only to the needs I see in the student, I have been amazed at how quickly t it reflects on their scores, and more importantly, on their self-confidence and motivation. My favorite subject is reading. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

My comments on tutoring Chemistry : Have tutored introductory chemistry: very good with helping understand concepts behind equations used for molality, molarity and balancing equations etc.....

Aim at starting from the ground. Don't assume that students knows. Concentrate on concepts and having student understand. The point is having a reference from which the student can start from.
Ease up the burden...And find solutions not just formulas...You pay after each lesson all the time any time(tutoring from your own home)....Best of All: TRIAL LESSON IS FREE! Try it out: only need an e-mail and internet service for online service. Any questions let me know. Have taught over 8 years at various levels: from middle school to university students. Expert on teaching Calculus, Physics, Algebra and all levels of Mathematics. Very good at teaching statistics. Have tutored on Electrical Engineering and overall Engineering. Have also tutored University students on LSAT as a volunteer and for pay.

Will not give up until you get it!

Combined from the different professors and instructors from my education career
Started learning CAD since high school. This involved starting from the basics of paper, pencil, and drafting tools for techniques. Conceptual hands on to be associated when moving into Computer Aided Drafting. Afterwards decided to complete certification in CAD and combine it with my Associate's in Mechanical Engineering Degree. Lets not forget that right after high school with the basics I was able to land a job through a internship and use the applied knowledge of CAD.

I have been a tutor for many years. I worked as a tutor/ teacher for Region19 for 6 years. I have worked with children from K to Seniors in High School. I have also worked with children who live in homeless shelters.
I love teaching. I try my best to figure out what learning style is best an tailor the lessons to them, especially in a small tutoring or one on one session. I think children learn best through discovery.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very flexible. Because I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults, the ability to adapt to the learner's ability level is especially important. Not all people learn at the exact pact, therefore, flexibility is essential as well as non traditional teaching methods. Some non traditional teaching methods I have applied include interpreting math problems through real life situations. I find that some kids will relate to NBA references while others prefer food examples. Either way, it keeps the child interested which is the key role of a good tutor.
Although I listed only 2 years of prior instruction, I have taught over 5 years of business/finance related material. On a school level basis, I personally have a child with ADHD that I tutor at home. I am especially proficient in English/Language Arts. My research and writing skills are exceptionally keen due to ... read more

I worked as substitute teacher for the Denver Public Schools during my senior year of university. I have also worked and certified as instructor in the US Army in several fields to include math and science.
I enjoy teaching kids and particular the satisfaction that the kid gets when they finally understand the subject. I believe I must make myself fit to the students needs and not the student to my way of teaching, because there are many ways to have a kid understand the subject. Education is the tool that will open the doors of opportunity and will enhance your individual worth.

I ascribe to Gardner's 8 Stages of Intelligence theory, which purports the belief that every student is gifted, intelligent and capable of learning in a manner that conducive to their own unique style. As a teacher, I use myself as a tool to help facilitate the learning process.
I have a social work background which, in my work has always been integrated with some component of teaching, both in and out of the classroom. I can teach most K-12 subjects, college prep courses and provide tutoring services including assessment and curriculum development. I tend to be rather versatile in my teaching methods as I adapt to the learning style of the student. It's what I have found most effective in improving the quality of their educational experience. I have taught college courses in Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics for about 5 years, and taught seminars in specialized topics of Applied Statistics, like Six Sigma, Design of Experiments, and Statistical Engineering for over 10 years. I like to support my statistical teachings with popular software packages like Minitab and SAS-JMP. I have advanced degrees in Chemical Engineering and Statistics, and I am bilingual English-Spanish.
Mi teaching style depends on the students I have to attend, although I have a personal preference to be a coach and facilitator. Since I have had experience with students from high school to graduate level and working professionals, I also feel comfortable with acting as an expert with formal authority in the subjects I teach. However, I prefer to act as a consultant whenever that is possible, guiding my students to develop the criteria and capabili ... read more

My experience as a tutor has made me realize how much I enjoy tutoring. Science is my passion and I like sharing the knowledge that I have with those who need a little bit more help in. I feel that as I teach in my own style, I can better explain and help students see the topics/ideas in a different way, as I see it, to help them understand it and apply it better. I believe that no one can truly master something until they can teach it to others. Nothing has given me more satisfaction than when a student returns to me because they appreciate my patience and style of teaching to further help them along their courses. Yet, nothing makes me happier to see them succeed on a test score or on their grade in that course overall.
I'm currently attending UTEP, I will graduate in Dec. 2010 in Electrical engineering as well as receiving an Associate of Arts degree from EPCC. I worked for a ... read more

My teaching style is aligned to the Congnitive theory of Learning, in which I attempt to apply all of the following: 1. A review and connection to previously learned material and to material across disciplines 2. Presentation of material using language and ideas corresponding the appropriate age group 3. A build-up approach where the material is introduced in a sequential manner "building on previous material". 4.
