Have taught a total of nine years in elementary and middle school while raising my three children. It was during this time I discovered two of my three children were diagnosed with special needs. This prompted me to return to school where I obtain my Master's certificate in teaching students with disabilities. I wanted to learn more about how children with special needs learn and the best ways of reaching/teaching them.

It's true that every student learns at a different pace with a different style. I like to see myself as a cameleon teacher, catering my format to individual needs. My style tends to be laid back so that students are comfortable expressing their likes and dislikes with me, curbing their fear of not understanding something. I love to use metaphors, pictures, examples and stories to illustrate the subject in a new and perhaps clearer way.
