Friendly tutor with over five years of experience working with children and adults of all ages. As a history major, I have a desire to learn more and teach more about the past. I have learned so much about the present through studying the past. I have written numerous papers and completed projects while in college. These will help me to teach students how to organize, prepare, and excel in history.
I believe in teaching according to the curriculum. However, I will also pull in information from other historical and academic sources that will enhance the student's learning experience. I believe in allowing the student to prove their capabilities by allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge in different ways. I believe students should take exams but they are not the only way I test students understanding of the material.

A Little Bit About Me...

I was raised as a bilingual speaker, Italian & English, and was always fascinated by the workings of language. After my discharge from the Air Force in Australia, while studying for a BA in English & History, I began teaching and tutoring in this field. I was drawn to the Linguistics aspect of my study and after comopleting a BEd degree, I went on to specialize in this subject in my MA. I now speak several languages. Although my specialty is in Secondary education, I have taught in primary elementary and at College level. I have taught and tutored students in English Lit, History, Geography, Italian, ESL, Writing and Reading.
