I enjoy working with children and adults and I have worked as a public school teacher for 10 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the College of William and Mary. I have worked with autistic students in my classroom and with students who have a variety of learning abilities.
Students learn in many different ways. They have both strengths and weaknesses that play a role in their ultimate success. Learning should be student-centered.

I taught English, remedial through college prep levels, in public education for 16 years, and then I moved into private school education for 9 years. I have especially enjoyed working with foreign exchange students, specifically German, Korean, Japanese, and Hispanic. I also have experience as a peer mentor for other educators.
