A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoyed the challenges and rewards of my college education because I was motivated to acheive my personal best. I earned a BA degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis, and a minor in Animal Behavior. I also chose to take several english and writing courses to supplement my studies and improve my writing skills. I tutored other college students during my junior year, assisting them with papers of various forms and topics. After graduation, I became a certified dog training instructor, assisting and teaching obedience classes for 2 years. I enjoyed this because it combined my love for teaching and animal behavior.

I go through all the concepts with the individual pertaining to what portion of statistics they are studying at that time. I will then walk them through a couple of examples demonstrating how to properly obtain the correct answer. I will follow that up by asking them to do a problem without any direct instruction from me. I will watch them work on the problem to assure they are working on it properly. If any mistakes are made I will politely point them out as the individual is working. Finally, I will ask them to work on problems completely on their own and I will check their answers when they are done. I feel the only way to learn statistics, or any math for that matter, is through repetition and working on a lot of problems.

In order to obtain this degree, I had to take a wide variety of Science courses including: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, and many others. Not only am I well versed in Science, I have a background in Math too. In highschool, I completed the AP-Caluculus course with a score that allowed me to bypass any college math courses.
