Hi, my name is Shonda Leaks and I’m originally from Detroit Michigan. I have been working in the auto industry for about 20 years. I have degrees in Psychology and Quality control. Along with working in manufacturing, I was a substitute teacher at Macomb Community College in Warren Mi and tutored stats for Rochester College as well. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a champion for youth. While obtaining my education, my passion for children inspired me to tutor and mentor youth and young adults in programs like Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, and Student Support Services. Furthermore, my interest in youth and education led me to begin teaching on the high school and collegiate levels. For several years, I have tutored and/or taught students in English, writing, public speaking and presentation skills, psychology, and ACT/SAT preparation.
My goals as a teacher revolve around sharpening the critical thinking and analytical skills of students, challenging them to reach their full potential, while simultaneously encouraging them and providing a safe, caring environment that is conducive to learning.
