I have taught 15 years in the Missouri public school system. I have taught fine arts, K-12, throughout my career. I have organized and taught an at-risk study hall, provided after school tutoring for 6th graders. I taught 6th grade mathmatics. and tutored reading after school. Teaching riding and horsemanship is what sparked my desire to teach. Before I became a teacher I worked with mentally challanged adults and was a job coach for individuals that had sustanined tramatic head injuries. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a passion for teaching students of all ages, especially 4th grade and up. My teaching style consists of involving the students as much as possible in the learning process because I am a firm believer that students do learn from one another - especially when one student becomes a mentor or reciprocal teacher for another. I recently graduated from Park University with a Bachelors Degree in both Chemistry and Biology. I was the Vice President of the Chemistry Club where I helped students better understand chemistry as well as many other activities. Originally I wanted to go to medical school or pharmacy school, but have since changed my mind. I find myself to be a very driven individual and love to learn.
I think the teacher can determine the student's ability to learn. I believe I could provide a fun and friendly environment where the student would feel comfortable asking questions. I also think that homework or problems are useful.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching and working with children and watching them learn and grow. I value education and believe that a good education is crucial. Tutors are necessary in order that a child does not fall behind. I am willing to be that tool to help the child succeed in their academics and to make a difference in the child's life.
As a cum laude graduate with my Masters in Counseling I am very much driven and motivated to help and assist others in their endeavors to achieve and do well.
