I teach them what the teachers do not or will not teach. I also help my clients understand the materials given to them and even help them find anything relating to their course of study which will help them in their assignments.

I am a two year history major with a life long interest in history. I am also an avid writer with various blogs, articles, and a few books either written or edited. A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience with teaching having completed three semesters of internships through my undergraduate and graduate programs; I taught Kindergarten, First and Seventh grades. In said roles, I was given full control of the classroom by my mentoring supervisors. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and impacting young lives (most of these students came from low socio-economic backgrounds and were gravely in need of guidance). I generated creative lesson plans and taught according to state standards. I proctored exams and held tutoring and review sessions prior to testing. I have two master's degrees, three undergraduate degrees, and experience as a paramedic, nurse, and substitute teacher.
I believe in completing an individual needs assessment and designing a study approach around that assessment. I believe in constant reinforcement and reassessment. I love children and watching their eyes light up when understanding a certain subject brings joy to my heart. Patience is one of my strong points and I try to let the child reach thier goals in learning as independently as possible by encouraging them to work toward and answer to a question methodically and using a "figure it out" type style. On the other hand, I stay by my students side offering a shoulder to lean on, and support when struggling.
