I first ask questions to get familiar with my students teaching style and their problem areas and what they're struggling with. I am very visual so any time I can explain something using a picture, etc, I do. I am very patient and understanding.

Truly knowing a child allows you to understand their strengths and areas of growth, and helps identify ways to reach that child where they are and help propel them further.
